Sujection: Art on Vesuvius is an explosion of music and painting
Oct 22, 2016
Vesuvius seen from Vesuvius. Gennaro Regina, an artist who has the ability to use colors in his DNA, chose the volcano symbol of the Gulf of Naples to showcase his art. And he didn't do it by looking at the sleeping mountain from afar. But he went there, on the crater to look at the true colors of Vesuvius, to read in the stones the history of this symbol of Naples. This is how "Suriezione" was born, a work that moves the artist's laboratory while recreating all the conditions that allow the painter to feel at ease and work. A very successful operation, in fact, the work was created in just 18 minutes, with a frenetic pace provided by the music created by Salvio Vassallo and marked by the DJ set of Roberto Funaro, also executive producer.
But the work is not only a canvas of extraordinary beauty. But a documentary. A small artistic film shot with the help of a drone directed by Giandomenico and Fabrizio Acampora, in which the artist is seen so taken and engaged in the performance that he literally falls into a trance under the effect of electro-jazz music of Berlin, London and Naples origin. The work presented by the journalist Federico Vacalebre in the VP Factory gallery on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, has received the moral patronage of the Vesuvius National Park Authority led by President Agostino Casillo.
